Worried about our democracy? Want to do more and worry less? Have legible handwriting and time to write some postcards? Join us!

For this important election, we will be writing postcards for the two Arizona state legislative candidates Sister District is supporting in 2024. These are critical races where wins could help turn the Arizona legislature blue and block MAGA extremists.

Postcards can help increase name recognition and get out the vote. State leg races are won by narrow margins so every voter contact counts!

Whether you're an experienced postcarder or you are taking your first step into political activism, we have all the details you need to get started postcarding from home.

Do More and Worry Less!

Write Postcards!

I believe this is a critical election and want to do all that I can to help Biden win and help protect our rights at both the state and federal level. My motto this year is to “Do More and Worry Less!”  (borrowed from Simon Rosenberg and the Hopium Chronicles, a great newsletter). Please join me and write some cards for our Arizona candidates! Below are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions about our postcarding.

Postcarding FAQs:

Who do I write? The information packet will contain a list of names and addresses for you to hand write on a postcard.

What do I say? The information packet will have a script approved by the campaign that we follow exactly. We are allowed to add colored boxes or highlights to emphasize the candidate’s name, vote date or other key points.

How many? I ask for people to sign up in increments of 30. If you want to do less, find a friend to do them with you!

How do I get a packet? Let us know whether you want the information emailed to you or you can pick up on my front porch in Sacramento 95864 area. If that is a difficulty, I can arrange a delivery.

How do I return cards? Same process in reverse … either drop off on my front porch or let me know if you need a pick-up.

What cards do I use?   Postcards must be USPS compliant (index card thickness and ideally 4 x 6 inches, but no larger than 4.25” high and 6” long, and no smaller than 3.5” high and  5” long. The campaign requires we use non-partisan cards. They can have generic vote messages or be floral or have other non-offensive imagery. You can provide your own postcards or I have a supply of “Be a Voter” postcards that you may request.

Tips for newbies? I have a one-page document with Postcard Writing Tips for new writers and also useful reminders for returning writers.

How to sign up? E-mail us at postcardteam.sdp.sac@gmail.com indicating your interest and as soon as we have a postcard event or campaign sign-up available, we will send you an e-mail with the details.

What if I’m confused?  Reach out to us at postcardteam.sdp.sac@gmail.com. We are always happy to answer questions about postcarding.

What stamps do I use?  Forever postcard stamps are now 56 cents each. Postcard stamps purchased at previous prices are still good as long as they say Forever on them. You can order them at this link or go to your local post office.   Order Stamps
